Hi, my name is Nancy Rothera and I was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts and started painting as a little girl.  I studied art at the University of Massachusetts, and after graduating and 3 children later, I started giving art lessons in my home to school age children.  I never really began serious painting until about 10 years ago and now, living in Maine and Naples, Florida, I find that I have a never ending supply of beautiful coastal scenes that have captured my interest.

I enjoy painting coastal scenes of many varieties, most everything I do seems to be about the waterfront area or very close to it. All my original paintings are done on professional quality canvasses, mostly in the 8 x 10 to 30 x 48 inch sizes, and framed in quality frames appropriate to each painting.  I also have prints available from most of my work, which are done on 8 x 10 inch 90 weight stock and double matted to 11" x 14" ready for framing.

I have displayed my work in a number of venues in and around Maine and now in Florida.  This web site is now my personal art gallery. It is the largest display of my artwork so far anywhere. (There are, however, many of my works that are not displayed here - due to prior sale,  or because they are in my family's personal collection.)
